About The Project

This was the second home we remodeled for this couple. Their home in Hemet, California was designed in a Craftsman style. Our challenge for this home was to create a modern, beachy feel. The house had a dated look with golden oak cabinets, bright paint wall colors, dated fixtures and window treatments. We decided to keep the tile floor since it was in good shape and worked fine with our new chosen grey/white color palette. The remodel included paint and new 6” baseboards, new espresso maple Shaker kitchen cabinets, modern brushed nickel hardware, quartz counters and glass tile backsplash, modern pendants over the peninsula, new fireplace tile, a built in desk next to the fireplace, chandeliers in the living room and kitchen nook, geometric patterned draperies installed on the two sliders and shutters throughout the other living areas, bathroom vanities, new mirrors, medicine cabinets and lighting finished the baths. A custom floating TV wall unit and custom furnishings-sofas, chairs, dining set, lighting, area rugs, bedding and accessories finished the home. The result – a Modern Style, beach retreat ready for relaxing and entertaining in beautiful Oceanside.
