This couple called us after they had lived in their home for about a year. They wanted a new look for their great room. One large wall had a lot of open niches, and a fireplace that was not being featured. The kitchen space had white tile counters and backsplash. Our challenge was to update the room, design an entertainment cabinet for the TV and give the room a real sense of style. The remodel included a wall to wall entertainment/bookcase separated by a stacked stone fireplace surround to the ceiling, crown moulding, wood flooring and new 5” baseboard. In the kitchen we installed granite counters and stacked travertine backsplash, over the island, three burlap pendant lights and a large drum pendant over the kitchen nook area. Pleated shades were installed in the windows for a simple, functional treatment. Custom furnishings-sectional, chairs, tables, bar stools, area rug, lighting and accessories finish the room. The result – a Modern Style, dramatic entertainment/fireplace wall and Modern, functional kitchen.
