I have worked on two other homes for this client. She works from home and has family in the area who all recently relocated from Upland. She and her sister bought this lovely home that needed their personal touch. I have also worked on her two son’s homes. What a pleasure to work with this lovely lady. She loves my ideas and the final outcome of our projects.
About This Project
This client purchased her home and needed help with her great room. She had purchased sofa and an entertainment unit and had other pieces I had to incorporate in the design. She wanted modern and natural feel to blend with artwork we had purchased from her previous home.
I began by rearranging her furniture to open up the space. I selected modern wood end and cocktail tables to blend with her entertainment unit and a modern chest to flank the fireplace. A large canvas from Uttermost which we had purchased for her previous home balanced out the other side of the fireplace. I then selected modern lamps for the end tables and chest for task and ambient lighting. I also selected a sleek floor lamp to go along side of the club chair and ottoman. We replaced the old, heavy draperies with a beautiful combination of blue and green faux silk draperies for the slider witch adds color and provides privacy in the dining area. I then selected accessories to add color and interest in the room. A large silver framed mirror rests on the mantle flanked by two large blue vases and a faux orchid. The old heave over-sized fans were replaced with new sleek properly scaled fans. The room looks larger, has interest and feels very stylish and comfortable. Another happy client!
