This home was custom built by Shaver Construction, Inc. The couple called and interviewed my when their home was built and they needed an Interior Designer. They liked my ideas and approach so they hired me to design and furnish their whole house. They had some antique pieces-sofa, chair, dining set and buffet and bedroom sets they wanted to incorporate in the design. Our challenge was to design a comfortable home incorporating their vintage pieces and create an updated wine country themed home. We created a beautiful formal living room with the antique sofa and chair and had them reupholstered in new chenille fabrics. We had a custom chair made to complement the pieces and complete the seating area. We added beautiful tables, lamps, custom draperies and a large birdcage to finish the room. The antique dining room chairs were reupholstered and the set along with the buffet was used in the formal dining room. In the family room, we had a custom sectional, two Bergere chairs and two leather ottomans made. Wood tables and iron lamps complete the room. We built a wall to wall bookcase in the office and added a small chair and textured cream colored drapery panels. We had our artist paint wine inspired designs on the walls as accents. The bedrooms were treated with new draperies and bedding. We installed custom art throughout the home and decorative accessories o complete the project. The result- a home the owners loved especially our attention to detail and staying on budget. This couple hired us to design their new Oceanside vacation home as well.
